Kundapura

Kundapura, officially known as Kundapur, is a town located in the Udupi district of Karnataka state, India. It serves as the administrative headquarters for the eponymous Kundapur taluk.

Historically, the town was referred to as Coondapoor during the period between 1862 and 1947 when it was part of the South Canara district within the Madras Presidency of British India. Today, the municipality is governed by the Kundapur Town Municipal Council.
