Hungund, also known as Hunagunda, is a taluk located in the northern district of Bagalkot in the state of Karnataka, India. It serves as a regional administrative area containing several significant towns and historical sites.
The taluk is home to Kudalasangama, the location where the social reformist Basavanna died. It also encompasses the historic sites of Aihole and Pattadkal, both of which were once under the rule of the Chalukyas of Badami. Additionally, the town of Amingad within the taluk is recognized for its local sweet dish known as Amingad karadantu.
