Hubballi, officially known as Hubli, is a city located in the Indian state of Karnataka. It serves as the taluk headquarters for both Hubli City and Hubli Rural within the Dharwad district.
The city forms part of the twin cities of Hubli–Dharwad, which constitutes the largest city in North Karnataka. This urban agglomeration is also recognized as the second-largest municipality in Karnataka when measured by population and area. While Hubballi hosts the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, the administrative district headquarters remains in Dharwad.
