Gadag-Betageri is a city municipal council located in the Gadag district of Karnataka, India. It serves as the administrative headquarters for the Gadag District. The municipality is formed by the combined administration of two sister cities: Gadag and Betageri.
The urban area covers an expanse of 54.0956 km2 and has a recorded population of 172,813. Notable landmarks within the region include the temples of Veera Narayana and Trikuteshwara, which are recognized for their religious and historical significance. Additionally, Kanaginahal in Gadag is noted as the birthplace of the first co-operative society in Asia.
