Bannur is a municipality located in the T.Narasipura Taluk of the Mysore district in Karnataka, India. Situated at coordinates 12.33°N 76.86°E, the town sits at an average elevation of 654 metres (2,146 ft) above sea level.
The municipality is positioned approximately 25 kilometers from the city of Mysuru and about 30 kilometers from Mandya. It is located near the Somanathapur Temple.
