Arkalgud

Arkalgud, also known as Arakalagudu, is a panchayat town located in the state of Karnataka, India. It serves as one of the eight taluks within the Hassan district. The town is situated approximately 30 km from Hassan, 181 km from Mangalore, and 195 km from Bangalore.

The geography of the Arkalgud taluk is defined by two significant rivers: the Hemavati River forms its entire northern boundary, while the Kaveri River flows through a portion of the south. The area is well-connected to various towns and cities across Karnataka via road networks. For regional travel, Hassan Junction railway station serves as the nearest major rail link, and Kannur International Airport is located 150 kilometres away.
