Tengnoupal is a hill town located in India at the highest point of National Highway 2 (NH-2), which connects Imphal to Moreh at the border of northwestern Myanmar. The village serves as the district headquarters for the recently reinstated Tengnoupal District.
The area is a transit point for the ASEAN Highway, which passes directly through the village. Its climate is characterized by cold temperatures during the winter months, humidity in the summer, and frequent fog during the rainy season.
