Ramtek

Ramtek is a city and municipal council located in the Nagpur district of Maharashtra, India. Situated at the foot of a prominent hill northeast of Nagpur, it serves as an important Hindu pilgrimage center dedicated to the god Rama.

The area is characterized by numerous shrines and temples constructed on Ramtek Hill dating back as far as the early 5th century. During this period, the site served as the primary religious sanctuary for the Vakataka dynasty. As of 2011, the city had a population of 22,310 residing in 4,929 households.
