Pusad

India

Pusad is a city located in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, India. It serves as the second largest city within the Yavatmal district. The city was historically known by the ancient name Pushpawanti, which was derived from the Pus river.

The development of the city has been impacted by long-standing political issues regarding its administrative status. Despite ongoing demands from the local population for Pusad to be granted district status, ruling politicians have failed to address these requests over several decades.
