Malvan is a town and taluka located in the Sindhudurg District, which is the southernmost district of Maharashtra State, India. The region encompasses several villages, including Angane Wadi, Masure, Achra, Khalchi Devli, Jamdul, Juva, Pankhol, Talasheel, Bandiwade, Mogarne, and Sarjekot.
The area is primarily characterized by its fishing and agriculture industries. It is well known for the 17th-century sea fort called Sindhudurg Fort. The local staple diet consists of fish curry and rice, while the region produces Alphonso mangoes and traditional sweets such as Malvani Ladoos and Malvani Khaja, which is made from gram flour and coated with jaggery.
