Kinwat is a city located in the Nanded District of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It falls under the jurisdiction of a municipal council and is situated approximately 125 km away from the city of Nanded.
The Kinwat Taluka was established in 1905 through the combination of several villages from the Narsapur, Tamsi, and Nirmal Talukas of the Adilabad District, which were previously under the Hyderabad Division. As of 2011, the city had a population of 28,454, an 82% literacy rate, and a female sex ratio of 929. The locality is served by a rural hospital.
