Karjat is a city in India located in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. It is administered under a Municipal Council and forms part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The city is situated approximately 100 km (62 mi) from both Mumbai and Pune.
The city is served by Karjat railway station, and the Ulhas River flows through its territory. Geographically and politically, it falls under the 189 Karjat Assembly constituency.
