Hinganghat is a city located in the Wardha district of Maharashtra, India. It is administered by a Municipal Council and serves as the ninth largest city in the Vidharbha region. According to the 2011 census, it ranks 436th in terms of population size within India.
The city is situated in the fertile Wardha Valley and is bordered on two sides by the Wena River, which serves as a source of natural resources. Historically, Hinganghat was a significant center for grains and the Indian cotton trade. The local language spoken is Marathi.
