Hadgaon is a city and municipal council located in the Nanded district of Maharashtra, India. Situated at an average elevation of 2,699 metres (8,855 ft), it serves as a local hub within the state.
The town is characterized by its religious significance and historical role in regional activism. It hosts several temples, including those dedicated to Lord Datta and Renuka at Datta Bardi and Ukhlai Ashram, as well as Vitthal Mandir and Ganpati Mandir in the old town. Additionally, the Kednarth Temple, located in the village of Kedarguda approximately 16 kilometres from the city, attracts pilgrims to the area.
Historically, Hadgaon was a primary location for activists involved in the Marathwada Mukti Sangram movement, which was led by Swami Ramanand Teerth.
