Akluj is a town located in the Solapur district of Maharashtra, India. It is situated on the banks of the Nira River and serves as an agriculturally rich area.
Historically, the town was recognized for its significant trade in cotton, though this industry has largely disappeared in recent times. The local government was notably associated with Vijaysinh Mohite–Patil, a former deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, who served as the sarpanch of Akluj.
