Villiappally is a census town located in the Kozhikode district of Kerala, India. It serves as the headquarters for the Villiappally Panchayath, an administrative area that encompasses two villages: Memunda and Villiappally.
The name of the city is derived from the Malayalam term "valiya palli," which translates to "Big mosque." According to local history, the settlement was built by late Jawa Ahmmed Haji. The town currently features a Vocational Higher Secondary School.
