Punnayur is a village and Panchayath located in the Thrissur district of Kerala, India. It serves as a coastal area within the state and contains several distinct localities, including Edakkara, Edakkazhiyur, Agalad, Kuzhingara, Aviyur, Mannalamkunnu, and Punnayur.
The village is situated approximately 35 km from Thrissur railway station, 12 km from Guruvayoor railway station, and 90 km from Kochi International Airport. The area of Edakkara, which houses the local office and co-op bank, is located near National Highway 17. Mannalamkunnu Beach is a notable tourist destination within the Thrissur district.
