Panoor is a municipality located in the Kannur district of the state of Kerala, India. It serves as a primary marketplace for farmer communities situated in the surrounding regions.
The town was officially granted municipal status in 2015. This designation occurred when the Government of Kerala merged three existing local bodies—the Panoor, Peringalam, and Kariyad Grama Panchayats—to form the current Panoor Municipality.
