Nilambur is a major town, municipality, and Taluk located in the Malappuram district of Kerala, India. It is situated on the banks of the Chaliyar River near the Nilgiris range of the Western Ghats.
The area is widely known as "Teak Town" due to the abundance of Nilambur teaks, a variety of large, deciduous tree found in mixed hardwood forests. Unlike many other Indian municipalities, Nilambur is characterized by extensive vegetation, providing it with a scenic landscape.
