Neyyattinkara is a municipal town located in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, India. It is situated approximately 18 km southeast of Thiruvananthapuram city and serves as the administrative headquarters for the Neyyattinkara taluk.
The town is positioned along the banks of the Neyyar River, which is one of the principal rivers in the district. Its name is derived from its geographical location, as "Neyyatinkara" translates to "the shore of the river Neyyar" in Malayalam. Additionally, the Vizhinjam International Seaport Thiruvananthapuram is located within the Neyyattinkara taluk.
