Munnar is a town situated in the Idukki district of Kerala, a state located in southwestern India. It is positioned at an elevation of approximately 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above mean sea level within the Western Ghats mountain range.
The area serves as an ancient plantation settlement that is primarily dominated by its tea industry. In addition to its agricultural significance, Munnar is a developing modern hill station.
