Muhamma is a census town located in the Cherthala Taluk of the Alappuzha district in the Indian state of Kerala. It serves as a local settlement with historical and cultural significance within the region.
The town is notable for hosting Cheerappanchira kalari, a martial arts center where Lord Ayyappa of Sabarimala reportedly received his training. Additionally, Cheerappanchira is recognized as an Ezhava ancestral home in the area. Muhamma is also historically significant as the location where P. Krishna Pillai, a leader of the Communist Party of India, passed away following a snake bite.
