Kottarakkara is a town and municipality located in the Kollam district of Kerala, India. It is situated approximately 27 kilometres, or about 17 miles, to the east of the Kollam city centre.
The area serves as a local administrative and residential hub within the state of Kerala. While it maintains its own municipal status, it remains geographically linked to the broader regional infrastructure of the Kollam district.
