Kalady, also known as Kaladi, is a town situated in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India. It is located between Angamaly and Perumbavoor, positioned east of the Periyar River near Malayattoor.
The town is notably situated not far from Cochin International Airport. Historically, it is recognized as the birthplace of Adi Shankara, a prominent Indian philosopher who lived during the 9th century.
