Guruvayur is a municipal temple town situated in the Thrissur district of Kerala State, India. It serves as a suburban town of Thrissur city, located approximately 26 kilometres (16 mi) to the north-west.
The town is primarily known for housing the Guruvayur Shri Krishna Temple. Geographically, it is positioned 292 km (181 mi) north-west of the state capital, Trivandrum, 86 km (53 mi) north of Kochi, and 95 km (59 mi) south of Calicut.
