Chittur

Chittur-Thathamangalam is a town and municipality located in the Palakkad district of Kerala State, India. The municipality is composed of two distinct areas: Chittur and Thathamangalam. It serves as the headquarters for the Chittur taluk.

The town is situated approximately 13 km southeast of Palakkad on the banks of the Kannadipuzha, which is a major headstream of the Bharathapuzha, the second-longest river in Kerala. The area also houses a mini civil station that provides various government-related services to the region.
