Aroor

Aroor is a fishing village located in the northernmost part of the Alappuzha district within the Cherthala taluk of Kerala, India. Situated on both sides of National Highway 66, it serves as a primary gateway connecting the cities of Kochi and Alappuzha.

The village is surrounded by several significant bodies of water, including the Vembanad, Kaithappuzha, and Kumbalangi backwaters. It is primarily recognized for its seafood export industry and is home to the Aroor-Kumbalam Bridge, which stands as the second-longest bridge in the state of Kerala.
