Tral is a town, sub-district, and notified area committee located in the Pulwama district of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It serves as a significant administrative and residential hub within the region.
The town is situated approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Srinagar, the summer capital of the territory, and 26 kilometres (16 mi) from the district headquarters in Pulwama. Tral holds the distinction of being the second largest municipal area committee in the Pulwama district.
