Bijbehara

Bijbehara, also known as Vejibror in Kashmiri, is a town and Municipal Committee located in the Anantnag district of the Indian administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The town is situated on the banks of the Jhelum River and lies along National Highway 44. It is positioned approximately 45 km (28 mi) from Srinagar, the summer capital of the union territory.

The town is notably recognized as the "Town of Chinars" due to its high concentration of Chinar trees, which include two specific Chinar gardens. Additionally, Bijbehara is home to the oldest chinar tree in the region.
