Samalkha is a town and sub-district located in the Panipat district of the Indian state of Haryana. It serves as its own tehsil and contains a municipal committee. The town is situated on the Grand Trunk (GT) road, positioned approximately 19 kilometers south of the district headquarters in Panipat and 72 kilometers from New Delhi.
The area is recognized as a significant center for politics within Haryana, following Sohna in Gurugram and Faridabad. Its location along a major national transport route facilitates its role as a regional hub within the state.
