Pataudi

Pataudi is a town, tehsil, and one of four sub-divisions located within the Gurugram district of Haryana, India. It sits inside the boundaries of the National Capital Region and is situated approximately 28 km (17.4 mi) southwest of Gurugram city.

The area served as the seat of the former princely state of Pataudi State. This state was established in 1804 by Faiz Talab Khan following a land grant from Lord Lake, and it eventually acceded to the Union of India in 1948.
