Gurugram, officially known as Gurgaon, is a city located in the northern Indian state of Haryana. It serves as the administrative headquarters of the Gurgaon district and is situated near the Delhi–Haryana border.

The city is one of the major satellite cities of Delhi and is part of India's National Capital Region. Geographically, it is positioned approximately 30 kilometres southwest of New Delhi and 268 kilometres south of Chandigarh, the state capital of Haryana. As of 2011, the population of Gurugram was recorded at 876,969.
