Gharaunda

Gharaunda is a town and municipal committee located in the Karnal district of Haryana, India. It is situated approximately sixty-five miles northwest of New Delhi and eleven miles from the district headquarters of Karnal. The town is served by the Amritsar-Delhi main broad-gauge railway line.

The area is notable for its significant role in the regional economy as a major grain market for the state of Haryana. It has also gained recognition as an industrial hub, housing a manufacturing unit for Liberty Shoes, one of India's leading footwear industries, and the Indo-Israel Centre For Excellence in Vegetables.
