Porbandar is a city located in the Indian state of Gujarat. It serves as the headquarters for the Porbandar district and was historically the capital of the Porbandar princely state.
The city is notable as the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and Sudama. Additionally, it functions as one of two twin cities alongside Chhaya; both locations are jointly administered by the Porbandar–Chhaya Municipal Corporation.
