Navsari

Navsari is a city located in the state of Gujarat, India. It serves as the administrative headquarters for the Navsari District and is situated geographically between the cities of Surat and Mumbai. The city is considered a twin city of Surat, which lies approximately 37 km to its south.

According to historical census data, Navsari ranked as the 10th most populous city in Gujarat during both the 1991 and 2001 Censuses. By the 2011 Census of India, it was recorded as the 16th largest city in the state. The region is also historically significant as the nearby village of Dandi served as the focal point for Mahatma Gandhi's great Salt March during the Indian civil disobedience movement.
