Maliya was a goddess worshipped by the Hittites during the Bronze Age. While her origins are most likely associated with a deified river, she was also linked to gardens and specific forms of artisanship, including carpentry and leatherworking.
The earliest records of Maliya appear in Old Assyrian texts from Kanesh. Over time, her worship spread throughout the Hittite Empire, notably in Hattusa and other regions. Additionally, texts from Kizzuwatna indicate that she had a temple in Kummanni, where she was worshipped alongside various Hurrian deities.
