Karamsad is a city located in India. It is historically significant as the birthplace of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, one of the primary leaders of the Indian Independence Movement.
The city was also home to Vithalbhai Patel, another prominent political leader and the elder brother of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The brothers lived with their parents, Jhaverbhai and Ladba Patel, along with three other siblings in a mud-brick house situated adjacent to family farm holdings. This residence has been preserved as a memorial dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
