Bhavnagar

Bhavnagar is a city located in the Indian state of Gujarat and serves as the headquarters of the Bhavnagar district. It was established in 1723 by Bhavsinhji Gohil and historically functioned as the capital of Bhavnagar State, which was a princely state until it merged into the Indian Union in February 1948.

The city currently holds the position of having the fifth largest population in Gujarat. It remains an important administrative center within the region.
