Nagaon is a city and municipal board located in the Nagaon district of the Indian state of Assam. It is situated approximately 122.6 kilometres (76 miles) east of Guwahati.
As of the 2011 census, the city had a population of 116,355. It is recognized as an AMRUT City and ranks as the fourth largest city in the state of Assam.
