Hatsingimari is a city located in the state of Assam, India. It serves as the administrative headquarters for the South Salmara-Mankachar District. Prior to its current status, the location functioned as the headquarters for the South Salmara Mankachar Subdivision.
The district was officially announced as an administrative entity by Assam's Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on January 26, 2016, and was subsequently inaugurated on February 9, 2016. The city has a population of 3,445 people and maintains a literacy rate of 77.73%, which is higher than the state average of 73.72%.
