Dhubri is a city and the administrative centre of the Dhubri district located in the Indian state of Assam. It is situated approximately 277.4 kilometres (172 mi) west of Dispur, which serves as the state capital.
The town is an old settlement positioned on the bank of the Brahmaputra River and holds historical significance. In 1883, it was first constituted as a municipal board under British rule.
