Srikakulam is a city located in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It serves as the headquarters for the Srikakulam district and had a recorded population of 165,735 according to the 2011 census.
The region is notable for its Buddhist tourism sites, including locations such as Salihundam, Kalinga Patnam, Dabbaka Vaani Peta, Nagari Peta, Jagati Metta, and Singupuram. The heritage site at Salihundam features unique architectural elements like a star atop a stupa, rock-cut massive stupas inside chaitya grihas, brick stupas with wheel pattern plans, and votive stupas.
