Narsipatnam

India

Narsipatnam is a town situated in the Anakapalle district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It was officially upgraded from a gram panchayat to a municipality in 2012 and covers a total area of approximately 42 km2 (16 mi2).

The town serves as a commercial center for many tribal villages within the ASR district. Notably, it is home to Krishna Devi Peta village, which houses the resting place of the revolutionary Indian freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju.

While there is a railway station named after Narsipatnam, the facility is located 40 km away from the town itself rather than being situated within its immediate vicinity.
