Narasaraopeta is a town and the district headquarters of the Palnadu District in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It serves as a municipality and the mandal headquarters for Narasaraopet mandal, while also functioning as the headquarters for the Narasaraopet revenue division. The town is notably referred to as the "Gateway of Palnadu."
The town serves as the seat of the court of Additional District Judge and houses the main offices of the Nagarjuna Sagar Jawahar Canal Operation & Maintenance Lingamguntla Circle (NSJC O&M Circle). Additionally, Kotappakonda in Narasaraopeta is recognized as a holy place known for the Kotappakonda Tirunalla.
