Bhattiprolu

Bhattiprolu is a village located in the Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It serves as the headquarters for the Bhattiprolu mandal within the Repalle revenue division.

The village is home to a Buddhist stupa that is classified as one of the centrally protected monuments of national importance. Additionally, the site provides some of the earliest evidence of the Brahmi script in South India. This specific script, known as the Bhattiprolu script, was discovered on an urn containing the relics of Shakyamuni Buddha.
