Rangat is a town located on Middle Andaman Island within the Andaman Archipelago. It serves as one of the three counties, or tehsils, that make up the administrative divisions of the North and Middle Andaman district in the Union Territory of India.
According to the 2001 Census of India, the population of Rangat was 38,824 people. The demographic makeup of the town is primarily composed of individuals of Bengali and Tamil descent.
