Laxey is a village situated on the east coast of the Isle of Man. The name of the village originates from the Old Norse word Laxa, which translates to "Salmon River."
The area is primarily known for its industrial and historical landmarks, most notably housing the largest working waterwheel in the world. It is also distinguished by the presence of three working vintage railways and serves as the location of King Orry's Grave.
