Sakhnin is a city located in the Northern District of Israel within the Lower Galilee region. It is situated approximately 23 kilometres east of Acre.
The municipality was officially declared a city in 1995. As of 2024, Sakhnin has a population of 33,728, which is composed of 95% Muslim and 5% Christian residents.
