Safed, also known as Tzfat and officially referred to as Zefat, is a city located in the Northern District of Israel. It is situated at an elevation of up to 937 meters (3,074 feet), making it the highest city in both the Galilee region and all of Israel.
The city has a diverse demographic composition; as of 2022, approximately 93.2% of its population was Jewish, while 6.8% identified as other.
