Ma'alot-Tarshiha is a city located in the North District of Israel. Situated approximately 20 kilometres east of Nahariya, the city sits at an elevation of about 600 metres above sea level.
The city was established in 1963 following a municipal merger between the Arab town of Tarshiha and the Jewish town of Ma'alot. This merger created a unique type of mixed city. As of 2024, the population of Ma'alot-Tarshiha was 23,042.
